Cardiac care prevents or treats conditions that impact the heart and/or the blood vessels and arteries around the heart. Cardiac care can include exams, diagnostic testing, care and monitoring for existing conditions, as well as cardiac surgery.

Blue Distinction Centers and Blue Distinction Centers+ for Cardiac Care offer quality care, treatment expertise and better patient results. These centers provide a full range of inpatient cardiac care services, including:

  • coronary artery bypass graft surgery
  • heart valve surgery
  • angioplasty (percutaneous coronary intervention)

These centers demonstrate better quality care and improved patient outcomes, including lower complication rates following certain cardiac procedures.
