The Montana Tribes, Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, the Office of American Indian Health, and the Montana Office of Rural Health and Area Health Education Center are offering training called Caring for Indigenous Montanans. You can earn continuing education credits and help improve the care of Montanans by completing any of the eight training modules.
There is a module for each nation in Montana that incorporates self-guided training with videos of discussions with indigenous patients.
- Clinicians and non-clinicians working in any part of the health care system may attend
- You may choose to take one or more Tribe’s training
- Each training provides a brief history of settler colonization in Montana and Tribe-specific information and interviews
- Each training is self-paced and takes approximately 3 hours to complete
- 3.0 CE credits are available for clinical staff upon the completion of each module
