HELENA — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana is accepting applications for its Blue Impact℠ grant program from March 1 through May 1.
Blue Impact grants and other BCBSMT community investments target social and economic factors that play a role in community health and wellness.
“We value the purposeful work that our local community partners provide to communities across Montana”, says Lisa Kelley, BCBSMT President. “These grants will have a lasting impact and address concerns that aim to improve health outcomes and access to care.”
Blue Impact grants are one way BCBSMT supports local communities. All BCBSMT community giving is designed to build healthier communities as part of a commitment to investing in and partnering with nonprofits to reach Montanans in these focus areas:
- Economic opportunity and stability: Addressing issues such as poverty, removing employment barriers, providing good jobs and upskilling.
- Nutrition: Supporting efforts to decrease hunger and increase access to nutritious food.
- Neighborhood and local assets: Focusing on affordable healthy housing, as well as transportation and physical activity access.
- Locally defined health solutions: Addressing hyperlocal health and human service needs.
- Optimal health outcomes: Helping close care gaps, specifically in immunizations, diabetes care, cardiovascular care, behavioral health, early detection cancer screening and maternal and infant health.
Applicants can receive up to $50,000 in funding. Requests should stay at or below this level for funding consideration. Organizations must have 501(c)(3) status. Learn about Blue Impact grants and the application process. All applications must be submitted online.
