Your Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana health care plan may include Virtual Visits, by MDLIVE. A Virtual Visit lets you get health care 24/7 by video or phone. MDLIVE has a large network of board certified doctors, pediatricians and therapists.1

Request a Virtual Visit

To request a Virtual Visit you’ll first need to activate your MDLIVE account. You can do this in Blue Access for Members℠. After you’ve activated your MDLIVE account, you can request a visit with the next available doctor.

Urgent issues should be treated right away: 

If you have chest pains, trouble breathing, heavy bleeding, or severe pain, you should call 911 or go to an emergency room right away.

You can also activate your MDLIVE account on the MDLIVE Website or MDLIVE Mobile App.

To check what plan you have and what is covered, you can check your Summary of Benefits and Coverage  (available in BAM).

 

How Do Virtual Visits Work?

Step 1

Activate your account in BAM, at MDLIVE.com or on the MDLIVE Mobile App.

Step 2

Request a virtual visit with a provider.

Step 3

Speak with a doctor or therapist on a video call in as little as 15 minutes.2

Finding In-Network Virtual Care

Virtual Visits may be limited by plan. For providers licensed in New Mexico and the District of Columbia, Urgent Care service is limited to interactive online video; Behavioral Health service requires video for the initial visit but may use video or audio for follow-up visits, based on the provider’s clinical judgment. Behavioral Health is not available on all plans.
